Centre d'interprétation de Place-Royale
Centre d'interprétation de Place-Royale is the newest component of the museum complex managed by Musée de la civilisation. The centre is located on the actual site where in 1608, Samuel de Champlain founded the first permanent French settlement in North America. Place Royale is part of the UNESCO recognized historic Old Québec which is a World Heritage City. Centre d’interprétation is located between Cap Diamant and the St. Lawrence River.
Day Trips Canada Tip: Centre d'interprétation de Place-Royale offers Free admission on Tuesdays between November 1 and May 31; also from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., every Saturday in January and February.
