The Supreme Court of Canada is the highest level of Canada's judicial system and is the place where the most pressing social issues are brought for peaceful resolution. The Supreme Court of Canada is open to the public year round from 9AM to 5PM during the week and on weekends during the summer months. Guided tours that are led by law students are available for free with advance reservations and when court is in session, it's possible for visitors to sit in on the hearing of an appeal.
